I cleaned off my desk/table at work!! (See the picture from a few days ago to see how bad it was.. and that was like.. at least 10 times better than how it was when I started.) I still have a ton of work to do in other areas of the library. But omg there’s a table under there!

I’m getting kind of tired of this. It’s cool when I’m actually doing stuff, but mostly I do and see the same things every day. And I forget until like 11 at night. I should put more thought into this. Anyway, here is my view tonight.. and every other night.. as I sit on my couch hanging out online. I live an exciting and productive life.
January 15, 2012 I spent the day volunteering for an HRC event at a lesbian bar in Dallas. It was definitely interesting. It was cool being around so many lesbians. I stayed and had drinks and went and got food with a group of them. That was fun. I will probably stay away from this event in the future, though. Even being with hundreds of lesbians doesn’t make being in a bar appealing to me.

Actually started packing today. Wooo. Except not. I ended up with 9 boxes full of books. I’m ridiculous. I decided to pack one box of books to take with me, though (as opposed to the other ones that are going to storage). This would be that box. (Also my Grimmerie and Rent bible are in this box too.. they went on top.)

Today I went to Half Price Books. Twice. I went before I met Ashley for dinner because I was a bit early, and then we went back after dinner. I got the Wicked cast recording, a highlight CD from Rent’s cast recording, the CD set from Chess in Concert (for Amanda because it was $2 and such a random and great find that I couldn’t pass it up. Even though I already own it), the cast recording from Aida, and a record of the soundtrack from The Sound of Music. All for under $20! While I was there I looked through a mother/daughter journal and found this. I find this incredibly sad. And it leaves me wanting to know more about the woman who wrote this, and her daughter. Why did she sell this? How old is she? How is her relationship with her mom now? Did she realize this was written in the journal? So many questions.. Anyway, good day.
